Glodon Joins the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium
Glodon is proud to announce its formal induction as a member of the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium. This prestigious inclusion was confirmed during the 2024 Conference and Forum of The Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, held at Tianjin Chengjian University from October 18–19.
The event, themed "Building a Flourishing Future Together," gathered over 100 representatives, including scholars, entrepreneurs, and experts from 12 countries and 40 universities and enterprises. The event fostered discussions on enhancing international collaboration in architectural education, addressing challenges, and exploring opportunities for sustainable development under the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the conference, Glodon, along with six other new members, including universities and corporations from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, and China, was formally inducted into the Consortium. This brings the total membership to 91 institutions from 30 countries across six continents, further strengthening the Consortium's global influence.
In his speech during the conference, Li Zhongbao, Assistant President and Vice General Manager of Glodon's Digital Education Business Unit, emphasized Glodon's commitment to promoting international collaboration and talent development in the architectural sector. As a leading enterprise in the construction industry, Glodon is dedicated to fostering high-level international cooperation in architectural education and aims to work closely with fellow Consortium members to explore new models for cultivating digital talent in the construction industry and to drive technological innovation in the sector, he said.
Since its founding in 2017, the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium has continually expanded its global reach, integrating education, technology, and cultural collaboration. The Consortium has become a pivotal platform supporting bilateral, multilateral, and regional educational partnerships, enhancing innovation in talent development, and promoting scientific and cultural exchange among counties along the Belt and Road. The Consortium's efforts have actively contributed to building a community with a shared future for mankind, encouraging an interconnected global community dedicated to the construction and engineering fields.
The 2024 conference featured several forums and discussions focusing on topics such as "Protection, Renewal, and Management of Urban and Rural Cultural Heritage," "Green Cities and Sustainable Development," "Urban Renewal and New Quality Productive Forces," and "Artificial Intelligence and Smart Manufacturing." These discussions aim to explore collaborative mechanisms for innovation in architectural disciplines and universities.
